I have heard it said that we often “leave the answer to pursue the question.”

“Why?”

“What’s going on in the world?”

”Why am I angry?”

”Why am I hopeless?”

”Why can I not find joy?”

In Proverbs, The Lord gives you the answer. He lays out instruction for your life if you will humble yourself and seek it.

Today, I encourage you to embrace the answer— set a goal for yourself on this first day of May:

There are 31 Chapters in the Book of Proverbs, as part of The Holy Bible, and 31 days in this month.

Read one chapter a day, for the next 31 days, and at the end of the month, you will be through the book.

Make it a discipline— Read them with your family, your spouse, and your children.

Now, If you dedicate yourself to this endeavor, each day before you read, ask the Lord to illuminate the words on the page— ask Him show you what He intends for you to take away from them.

Then, share what you have learned.

Whether you post it here, or speak it to your family and friends— do not hide God’s light from those who are stumbling in the darkness of these perilous times.

I pray that you will do this—

It is time to seek the Lord and gain His wisdom for the days ahead!

“The proverbs of Solomon son of David, king of Israel: for gaining wisdom and instruction; for understanding words of insight; for receiving instruction in prudent behavior, doing what is right and just and fair; for giving prudence to those who are simple, knowledge and discretion to the young—

let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance— for understanding proverbs and parables, the sayings and riddles of the wise.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” – Proverbs 1:1-7
