If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, you must examine yourself as to how seriously you take His teaching that the two greatest commands are to “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind, and to ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Because if you truly love someone, you never want to hurt them, right?

Now, if that is true, ask yourself this:
Does the fear that I may hurt God, dictate my thoughts, speech, and actions?

Does the fear that I may hurt someone else, direct the way I look at other people, how I listen, and how I treat them?

The proof that you love Jesus Christ is that you do what He says, for he tells the disciples: “If you love me, you will keep My commands.”

So, if you are praying without ceasing, if you are constantly asking: “Lord, what would you have me to do?” and then responding to Him in obedience, how would that affect the lives, and more importantly, the eternity of those around you?

Think of it like this:
God knows everything you have ever done, said, and thought— You will one day stand before Him to give an account.

If you lived like you believed that, in what ways would your life be different?

Let your prayer today be this:
“Lord, I love You; I believe in You…Now, Help me to live like it.”
