“…if anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” – 2 Corinthians 5:17

When you surrender to the call of Jesus Christ to “repent and believe the gospel”, God gives you a new spirit, a new heart, and a new mind, so that you may love as He does— with forgiveness, patience, mercy, and compassion.

He gives you His eyes to see the value in every human soul.

He gives you His ears to hear with understanding and kindness—

All things become new.

Then, the hindrances from your old life, the things that those New Year’s resolutions have never changed— resentments, anger, guilt, regret, depression, addictions, unforgiveness, past hurts— they all begin to pass away.

Some of these things take longer than others to leave us, but you can rest on the promise of God “that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” ( Philippians 1:6 )

This year, don’t make resolutions.

You can’t make yourself new— YOU MUST BE MADE NEW.

You must be born again by the power of The Holy Spirit. ( John 3 )

This can only happen when you turn away from your sin and place your faith in Jesus Christ. ( Acts 2:37-41 )

I pray that God reveals His plan for each of your lives in this coming year!!

Happy New Year, Everyone!!!
