“God controls the course of world events; He removes kings and sets up other kings.” -Daniel 2:21
From George Washington to Abraham Lincoln, from John F. Kennedy to Barack Obama, from Donald Trump to now, Joe Biden— God alone has appointed each of our presidents.
No matter your opinion or your politics, if you are a believer in Jesus Christ, you must live in the truth that God is in control of everything.
So, in reverence and obedience to God, you must honor God’s choice.
We are not called to always agree with our leaders, and where we see injustice, oppression or corruption, we must speak out and bring light to that darkness.
At the same time, God’s word tells us that we ought to pray for people in authority. ( 1 Timothy 2:2 )
You can speak out in disagreement, but you can also honor God and the authorities which He has established, by extending mercy and grace and practicing patience with leaders and people you oppose— just as God is merciful and patient with you.
Remember, If you are a believer in Christ, you are called to do that.
