“Take hold of my words with all your heart; keep my commands, and you will live. Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words or turn away from them.” – Proverbs 4:4-5

King Solomon was the wisest man who has ever lived.

Ecclesiastes records his quest to find meaning and the answers to all of life’s questions. In doing so, he denies himself nothing while seeking fulfillment in the things of this world. Upon finding no satisfaction in pleasure, folly, his work, his riches or advancement, he cries out, “Meaningless! Meaningless! Everything is meaningless!”

Solomon’s final conclusion – The true meaning and purpose of life is this: “Fear God and obey his commands because this applies to every person.”

True joy comes in knowing God, and the Fear of The Lord is the beginning of that knowledge.

So today, seek Him while He may be found!
