On the drive into work this morning, The Lord spoke to me this message.
“Say to your brothers and sisters in Christ:
May we never become envious of one another’s victories or remain silent while one another sins, but may we encourage where we can and admonish where we must.
To the one you love, you speak the truth.
When you speak, do so in the mercy, patience, compassion, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, grace and truth of Jesus Christ.
Do this daily by the power of the Holy Spirit inside of you, for the building up of the family of God towards Holiness in the image of Christ.
You are your brother’s and sister’s keeper.”
Then, He reinforced these words by reminding me of the exhortations in the book of Jude:
You must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit, and await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ…
…you must show mercy to those whose faith is wavering. Rescue others by snatching them from the flames of judgment. Show mercy to still others, but do so with great caution, hating the sins that contaminate their lives.
Now all glory to God, who is able to keep you from falling away and will bring you with great joy into his glorious presence without a single fault. All glory to him who alone is God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord…. Amen.
May we strive to live sacrificial lives for the benefit of our eternal family in the Kingdom of God.
Just as in the world, you and I are responsible for protecting our family, even if it costs us our very lives.
You will be held accountable for the ones God has given you.
You are your brother’s and sister’s keeper.
